I'm a big believer in taking advantage of cool things in our own backyard. In Hutchinson we have a restaurant that's listed in some national guidebooks, and I still run into people who've never been there - Roy's BBQ.

Just wanted to make you were aware of an event taking place at the Hutchinson Mall, that might be a good photo op.  Saturday, August 9^th from 9:00am – 1:00pm, The KS Kids More Than a Museum, is holding an event they call ‘Operation Sandbox’, in the west parking lot.

Operation Sandbox is a family event with lots of sand, safety stuff, big equipment and area exhibitors with the summer theme of "Stewardship of Our Earth: Protecting Our Air, Soil, Water & Wildlife and what we can do to make a difference."
