Breakfast Menu Ideas
A balanced breakfast can be any combination of choices from at least 3 food groups. (Dairy, Meat/Beans, Fruit, Vegetable, Grains)
Raisin toast with peanut butter and sliced banana, low-fat milk
Low-fat cheese melted on a whole wheat tortilla, berries, low-fat milk
Tuna fish sandwich, tomato slices, low-fat milk
Quick-cook hot cereal, cinnamon applesauce, low-fat milk
Low-fat yogurt mixed with sliced peaches and ready-to-eat cereal
Kids aren’t the only ones who need “active play” each day; adults need their share of physical activity too! The goal for adults is 30-60 minutes of activity most days. (Always check with your doctor before starting an exercise routine.)
