This movie is one I wanted to see when it was first out, but never got around to. Now I get another chance to see it on the big screen, and so do you - not just on any screen, but one surrounded by the beauty of the Fox Theatre. Take a friend - two of you get in for only $5.

June 13, 14, 15   THE GREAT DEBATERS
(2007)  Rated  PG-13.  Directed by Denzell Washington.  Starring Denzell Washington, Jurnee Smollett. A drama based on the true story of Melvin B. Tolson, a professor at Wiley College Texas. In 1935, he inspired students to form the school's first debate team, which went on to challenge Harvard in the national championship.  123 min.

Shows begin at 7:30 P.M. on Friday and Saturday nights, and at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday afternoon.  Tickets for individual shows are $5.00 - buy one get one free.  For more information call: 620-663-5861.

I have always wanted to see that movie and seeing at the Fox would have been sweet. Just couldn't make it... Will have to get it on Netflix..

I went... it was really good. The Fox improves almost any movie!
