I'm a Christmas fanatic. Yes, I'm one of "those" people who starts shopping for the next year on Dec. 26, sends hundreds of cards, writes the dreaded Christmas letter and decorates everything that doesn't move - and some things that do - in my house. I offer this disclosure in case anyone calls my motives into question.
Cool things just happen in life sometimes. It's one of the reasons tohaul out of bed every morning - something really cool could drop intoyour world well before 10 a.m. You just never know.
Friday night a Boston cabaret singer, Gail Gallagher, is performing forfree at the Hutchinson Art Center and this is the result of one ofthose cool things.

sit at the bright red picnic tables enjoying the summer evening air.
“I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good thing, therefore, that I can do or any kindness I can show to any fellow human being let me do it now. Let me not defer nor neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again."
Stephen Grellet, 1773-1855 - French-born Quaker Minister
This is one of my favorite quotes. The message can be boiled down into five words. “Do Good. Be Kind. Now.” Such a simple concept, but a tall order.
