Prosperity Elementary School had a Lap-A-Thon, a fundraiser that didn't require them to sell anything other than their time and energy. The Lap-A-Thon took place on October 3rd.

Pictures from the National Guard Troops Coming Home PDF Print E-mail

The National Guard 1161st made it home today, escorted by the Hutchinson American Legion riders. Family and friends were all there to greet them as they drove by in busses, then stood at attention through a few words from superiors. The moment they were dismissed, the bleachers cleared as everyone rushed to to the floor to see their returned soldier.

Some of you may remember a post that Patsy Terrell did back in July about a new slogan for Hutchinson. It got a heck of a response from readers, and we all had some fun coming up with slogans of our own. 

 

Reader jennifer asks "Was there a 'winner' ? Is there a new city slogan?"
