I went over to my best friend's house last night to have dinner. We'll call him Hank. That's not his real name, but let's leave the innocent out of this. Hank is an electrician, and he's working the Fair. He was talking about work, and I brought up that I had a carny staying with me through the duration of the Fair. Being my best friend, you'd figure he'd know that, especially since I've been writing about it. Goes to show the sort of support I get around here.
Whew! What a day at work I had yesterday. And the commute was a killer. Of course, if you actually knew the proximity of my apartment to my work, you'd get that joke, but for those of you that don't, just laugh politely. Thank you. Anyway, I was tired and ready to come home and relax. Of course, with the carny staying at my place, I would quickly find that impossible.
I apologize for not posting part two yesterday as I said I would. Just as I was sitting down to write it there was a family emergency and I had to leave. I'm happy to say that everyone is O.K.
I have the privilege, and yes I said privilege, of working with two different organizations that have done outstanding work in our county with the youth! Their goals are to make the lives of youths better, and in doing that, we adults reap the rewards! That kinda says it in a nutshell. Let’s talk a little bit about “Youth Friends” and “Communities that Care.”
