Is Youtube used more for showing off cool videos of your self dancing or singing or is it mainly for people with no lives to stalk or even hurt people?
What do you say about six cheerleaders beating up a poor helpless girl and then trying to brag about it on youtube by posting a video of them hurting this defenseless young girl? Think about how humiliated that girl was. This video is just one of the many people that have been hurt or abused on or because of youtube. On youtube, most things that you say or do on it either your face is showing, it tells where you live, or what your name is. That gives somebody with no life enough information to harm you. People like this sicken me. I want to hear your judgment on this subject, so leave me a comment and I will try to respond.

What they did was beyond cold and was definitely calculated. The message has to be sent that violence for kicks results in real life punishment. Moving onto the other point you were making about the dangers of posting on youtube (and online in general), it's definitely a problem. Too much personal information can lead someone right to your door. I'm glad your posting with a screen name rather than your real name. It's a smart thing to do. I never use my last name online and it's only recently I began using my full first name instead of a more abbreviated "Jo". I debated for a long time whether or not that was even a good idea, then convinced myself I might be just a tad bit over cautious. But....I think people should generally be cautious online, especially teens. ![]() 06-10-2008 12:37, , Registered Good will continue to prevail and youtube will have more funny good hearted videos than videos of people "with no lives" hurting others. Great article, keep them coming. ![]() 06-10-2008 15:22, , Guest As long as we have more people pushing on the good side and we have a next generation coming up (like you Salthawk Kid) who are gonna push for the "god side" as well... Is that a play on words? Just curious. ![]() 06-10-2008 16:05, , Guest ![]() 06-10-2008 17:00, , Guest |
