The Annual Emancipation Day Celebration in Hutchinson is August 1-3 in various parts of Hutchinson, including Carey Park, Stringer Fine Arts and Downtown. Here's a schedule:
Friday
8-11pm "Aqua Boogie" at Salt City Splash in Carey Park
Saturday
7:30am 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament in Carey Park
10:00am Annual Parade starts at 12th and Main
11:00am Opening Ceremony - Grand Marshall's address
12:00pm Free Annual Picnic in the park
9:00pm Old School Jam at the Fairgrounds
Sunday
3:00pm Gospelfest at Stringer Fine Arts Center with an Ice Cream Social immediately following
