Futsal is a sport similar to soccer that will be available in Hutchinson beginning in January with the Snow Slam Futsal League. A fun activity based on soccer skills, futsal will give everyone the chance to better your soccer skills, no matter what level of soccer you play. Games will be played in January and February on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons and evenings. Younger players (13 & under) will play 3 n 3 and high school, college and adult teams will play 5 on 5. Fees for each team are $175 per team for younger teams (3v3) and $325 for older teams (5v5). The Snow Slam Futsal League is presented by Club Azzurri and the Hutchinson Recreation Commission. Qback Club is hosting a tailgate party Sat. Sept/ 12 from 5-6:30.
Please come support the club and meet and greet new members and prospective members. It will be held in the Crimson Courtyard behind Lockman Hall, which is Northwest of the stadium. Cost is $3, which includes: 1/4 lb hotdog, chips and drink. If you attend a soccer or volleyball game that same day, receive $1 off the $3 tailgate fee for each game you attend, please tell the cashier. The athletic dept. is furnishing a moonwalk donated by Jumpin J's. This is short notice, but please make time to attend this tailgate party and tell all your friends.
Next Third Thursday (Sept 17th), there is going to be a salsa contest Downtown between Ave. A and C.
This is your chance to prove that you make the best salsa in town. Entry is free. Chips will be provided, you just bring 5 gallons of salsa and your table.
