Short notice but I thought that people might want to participate in this: A community forum on Health Care. 6:30-7:30pm 12/30/08 at the Metropolitan Cafe.
We're intrested in what's going on around town (hence the name What's Up Hutch? ... ), and were wondering how you were planning on spending New Year's Eve.
New Years is the one people worry the most about spending in a fun manner while still being safe, so let us know what you've got happening around town for the holiday.
Tomorrow (Dec. 3rd) is the Early Ed Center's Annual cookie and Poinsettia sale. The sale is from 11:00-1:00 and 3:00-5:00 in the Early Ed Center Gym (303 E. Bigger). Participants can fill a box with cookies of their choice for $7, we also have poinsettias and cards (created from EEC student's artwork) available for purchase. Thanks!
Yeah, I had to read that twice, too. Then the immediate joke to pop into my head was something along the lines of him sharing a globe with Sarah Palin and thinking Africa was a country, rather than a continent.
Looks like that's not the case though, and to make some money for this endeavor he's having an art show and everything is priced to move.
The museum will celebrate its Old Fashioned Christmas between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Kids can try their hand making crafts reflecting Christmas traditions from around the world. They can make Christmas crackers, stitch stockings, and even an edible lump of coal! Each craft comes with the story of the tradition it represents. Kids can make a craft for $1.00, or for $3.00 they can purchase an all-you-can-craft pass.
