WUH Video of the Week
We want your videos. We're looking for funny, cute, clever, whatever. Anything but offensive, illegal or immoral.
Just upload your video to YouTube, Google video or something similar and send a link to us at videos@whatsuphutch.com for consideration as the featured video. If we don’t feature it the week you sent it, don’t be discouraged. We may use it in a following week. If we get enough submissions, we may switch to video of the day.
If you're unable to upload to YouTube or anything similar, and need for WUH? to host the video, please contact us at the above email address and we can see about making arrangements. Once WUH? receives the file, they retain rights to the video and can do pretty much anything they want with it (though we'll be nice, we promise).
A lot of you folks don't know that we've got an office dog here at What's Up Hutch World Headquarters. Well, we do, and her name is Fiona. She's an adorable little Catahoula who makes things a little bit more fun around here for everybody. But she also helps in a big way.
Sometimes there are questions that are hard to answer. They're the type of questions that just nag and nag at you with no discernible answer in sight. And that's when we turn to the Magical Fiona for the guidance of her innocent wisdom, untainted by the thoughts and opinions of people, who (let's face it) don't know what they're talking about half the time.
Cody and the family were out the other night, and they saw a couple of powered paragliders flying into the sun (at least that's what Tamara thought). They got some video (below).
We got the below video and pics from Raymond Casanova with this explanation.
I think what’s cool about this video is what doesn’t happen. As the guy at the truck charges the line you see it start to sag as it fills with water. When full of water a 50’ section of line weighs about 50 pounds. The line they are using is 200’. If Craig Rothe didn’t slide down and snag that as it fills with water it could have pulled the 2 guys standing on the steep part of the roof backwards? There is also force pushing against the nozzle holder when he opens the nozzle. Anyway I realize it’s not terribly exciting, but I thought it was cool.
Cody caught up with some guys from Biking Across AMerica (BAAM!) at Harley's and got them to stop for a minute to take some video (below the fold). For more information on what they're doing, go here.
